It’s easier to get to Mont-Saint-Michel during vacation: many additional buses, which travel between Rennes and Mont-Saint-Michel, appear. The company providing such service is called Keolis.
Ways of travelling by bus in details
The Keolis company’s bus makes connection between Mont-Saint-Michel and two cities: Rennes and Dol-de-Bretagne (about which I’m about to tell here).
All the bus voyages are connected with train schedule, what gives the tourist an opportunity of planning a one-day-trip to Mont-Saint-Michel from the Paris. It’s not the best, but possible way which I will describe in another post.
Because Mont-Saint-Michel is an island, there is no way of getting directly there; the last stop of the bus is located in La Verge, near the tourist info center. From that point you can either take a 45-minute stroll to the abbey, or a 25-minute passage on a free shuttle.

Children under the age of 12, accompanied by adult with ticket, travel for free.
